Medicinal uses of Petty Spurge (radium weed)

Hi.  Petty Spurge grows to about 30cm high.  In appearance it looks similar to chickweed and scarlet pimpernal.  It is important to be able to identify the plant.  When a part of the plant is broken off, it oozes a white sap.  This white sap is very corrosive.  The white sap is applied to skin cancers, sunspots and warts.  It is applied everyday to the affected area until a scab appears and then sloughs off.  It must be applied to the exact area, if it gets on non affected skin, it will burn the skin.  If you want, you can apply petroleum jelly or calendula onitment on the surrounding skin before applying the white sap to the affected area.  Keep the sap away from the eyes.  It can harm vision and cause extreme irratation.  Petty Spurge (radium weed) is a very effective treatment.

Have a lovely night.  Love, Peace and Harmony to you all.  Lesley.

The reasons why wheatgrass is so good for your body

Hello everyone. Wheatgrass juice is a veritable brew of water, oxygen, enzymes, protein, phytochemicals, chlorophyll, carotenoids, fatty acids and trace minerals. Wheatgrass juice can help the body neutralize toxins and carcinogens, remove chemicals and heavy metals, improve digestion, and cleanse the blood. Research done in the 1950's showed that chlorophyll was an efficient deodoriser, that could effectively neutralize bad breath, body odours from perspiration, menstrual odours, foul smelling urine and stools. Research studies have identified a number of substances in wheatgrass juice that are powerful anti-cancer agents: there is the blood building chlorophyll with oxygen producing agents; the alkalising action; the enzyme action of living food which promotes detoxification and elimination of mucus and decaying faecal matter on colon walls; strong antioxidants, like the mineral selenium and vitamins A, C and E, vitamin B17 (which has shown the ability to selectively destroy cancer cells alone), and abscisic acid, a plant hormone that can reverse the growth of cancer (in a high enough concentration to have a marked effect on cancer cells). Love and Peace to you all. By Lesley at www.journyman1.com

GINSENG and its uses

Hi how are you all living a life full of happiness and peace, show an animal kindness and look into their eyes they know and understand, just for to-day show an animal or someone some kindness and see how you feel on the inside, lets bring joy and peace back into our heart and feel all the love mother nature has. To-day herb is GINSENG please enjoy

Here are some plant and herb information the doctors don't tell you about.

Remember only plants have the natural healing ability to help keep our immune system healthy, enabling us to fight off disease in our bodies and keep everything in balance. The only way disease can cause harm to us is when our immune system is low or stressed out. When we go to the supermarkets, such as Coles, Woolworths the food offered to us is usually from hybrid seeds or GMO that has been sprayed in pesticides. The fruit and veg has no goodness whatsoever that is good for mankind, this is why we are getting sick and sicker. If you look around we may be ageing and living longer, but how many people are medically-free and having a good life? Most people I see are in some form of pain and why? "We Are What We Eat. We Are What We Think."

GINSENG THE HERB AND ITS USES:-

Ginseng is traditionally used in Asian countries. In Asia, it is one of the most prescribed herbs. It is esteemed as a general adaptogen and restoring tonic for just about any ailment of the body. This belief is reflected in the plants genus name, panax, from 'pan' meaning all and 'akos' meaning remedy. The common name 'ginseng' is said to mean the wonder of the world. Ginseng, has been called the most precious, and expensive herbal remedy used in China for over 5000 years. Throughout history, ginseng has been used to increase stamina, to build up resistance to the may stresses of daily life, whether mental, physical or biological, to prevent and treat coronary heart disease, cancer prevention and treatment, nourish the blood and strengthen the endocrine glands, improve eyesight and organ function, including the digestive system, relieve depression, asthma, colds, constipation, hepatitis, digestive disorders, impotence, frigidity, fevers, hemorrhaging, Alzheimer's disease, diabetes, radiation sickness, detox the liver, sharpen memory and attention span, normalize blood pressure, and to improve resistance to infections. The ginseng root has a sweet taste similar to licorice with a touch of bitterness. Research shows the herb provides stimulation of the immune system. You can grow ginseng yourself. But the plant requires cold climatic conditions, with cold winters. Or you can go and see a naturopath or a herbalist.

Gotu Kola is a medicinal herb and the health issues it..

Gotu Kola is a medicinal herb known for centruries. Some of the health issues that can be treated with Gotu Kola include: leprosy and tuberculosis, relieving the pain of rheumatism and arthristis, add, eczema, asthma, insomnia, high blood pressure, influenza, diabetes, baldness and hair loss, depression, candida, stomache upsets, herpes, hepatitis, intestinal worms, dermatitis, tingling in the legs, stimaulates centeral nervous system, failing eyesight, bowel disorders and for many other health issues. A legendary saying, in reference to gotu kola was: '2 leaves a day, keeps old age away'. Gotu Kola has been called 'a pharmacy is one herb'. There was a Chinese Herbalist Professor Li Chung Yun, who lived to the age of 256 years. He strongly recommended the use of Gotu Kola and ginseng. Some of the other things he taught his students included: one should never be in a hurry, take is easy, take your time. Sit as calmly as a tortoise, walk as sprightly as a bird, and sleep as soundly as a dog. He advocated avoiding extremes of emotion of all kinds, especially as a person grows older, as nothing drains energy from the body as rapidly, or disrupts the functional harmony of vital organs, as completely, as stress or strong outbursts of emotion. Deep breathing was important along with primarily a vegetarian diet. He also mentioned doing daily physical exercise. But you must understand that between 1677 and 1933, physical exercise would have been so different to how a lot of people exercise today. Phyisical exercise back then could have meant going for a walk for 20 minutes. I grow Gotu Kola myself. It is an easy plant to look after. Unless you try these things and experiment for yourself, how do you know? It is all about experience. I wish for all humans to experience unconditional love, peace and harmony during your lifetime. by Lesley

Dark green leafies and life-enhancing chlorophyll

One of the most powerful life-giving substances on the planet is chlorophyll. This is the pigment that gives green foods their color. Chlorophyll is the major player in the photosynthetic process which allows plants to obtain energy from light by converting the sun's rays into chemical energy. Dark green leafy veggies are nature's greatest source of life-enhancing chlorophyll.

The chlorophyll content of a food is a major indicator of the health attributes of any given plant-based food. Chlorophyll-rich foods have a very deep green and are extraordinarily useful in building new blood cells and purifying the body from cancer and radiation. Chlorophyll also assists in wound healing, intestinal regularity, detoxification and deodorization of the body.(1, 2)

For optimal health, it is a great idea to make sure that you have some of the best chlorophyll-rich dark greens in your meal and fresh juices. This includes spinach, collard greens, kale, watercress and cereal grasses to name a few.

Spinach:

Spinach is a powerful source of chlorophyll and glycoglycerolipids that protect the digestive tract from inflammatory damage. These glycoglycerolipids are the main fatty acids that makeup the cell membranes of light-sensitive organs in chlorophyll-containing plants. They have powerful immune-boosting and anticancer effects.(3) Additionally, spinach is an important source of copper, zinc and selenium, which boost immunity.

Collards:

These fan-like greens stand out as a nutritional superstar. Their levels of magnesium and vitamins K, A and C are off the charts, and they are rich in folate, B2 and B6.(4) Collards are also rich in isothiocyanates, which are powerful sulfur compounds that protect the P53 gene. The P53 gene is considered to be the guardian of the genome and regulates a normal cell cycle. Mutated p53 gene leads to failure in the normal cell cycle and the development of cancerous formations.(5)

Kale:

Some of the hottest nutrients present in kale include the glucosinolates and methyl cysteine sulfoxides.(6, 7) These super-nutrients help activate detoxifying enzymes in the liver that play an important role in neutralizing carcinogenic substances. One such glucosinolate, sulforaphane, is formed when kale is either chopped or chewed. Sulforaphane has been shown to alter the genetic expression of the liver, allowing it to more effectively use its detoxification enzymes.(8)

Lacianto kale contains more water and a better flavor than curly kale. Curly kale is very challenging to juice and is not recommended. I stick with lacianto kale for juicing and curly kale for things like kale chips.

Watercress:

Watercress is a fast-growing, aquatic or semi-aquatic perennial and one of the oldest known leaf vegetables consumed by humans. It has a significant amount of bioavailable B6, magnesium and folate and acts as a great digestive aid. It is also rich in chlorophyll and carotenoid antioxidants.

Cereal juices:

This would include wheatgrass, barley grass, oat grass and rye grass among others. These are the grass portions and not the grains. Therefore, they are free of gluten and are very low-carb and nutrient-dense. They are best juiced alone and without other veggies mixed in.

Cows can live an extremely healthy and long life surviving solely on these cereal grasses. Humans cannot digest the tough fibers, and the only way to really consume these is through juicing.Cereal grasses are some of the absolute richest sources of blood-cleansing chlorophyll. They also contain tons of carotenoid antioxidants as well as key methylating agents such as magnesium, B2, B6 and folate.
